CBD Isolate

CBD isolate is the rawest and pure form of CBD extract, purposefully excluding all other cannabinoids and compounds found in the plant itself, like flavonoids and terpenes. CBD isolate has 0.3% THC content, meaning that there is no way to get high from the intake of CBD isolate oil. CBD isolate is also usually extracted from the hemp plant.

Full Spectrum CBD

Full-spectrum CBD is the most holistic and inclusive form of CBD extract, containing all cannabinoids and compounds found in the plant. Full-spectrum is often preferred for therapeutic uses because all of the natural herbal compounds work together with the CBD for a more well-rounded and effective use that often provide higher levels of pain relief, as seen in a 2005 study from the Lautenberg Center for General Tumor Immunology in Jerusalem, but there is also a higher THC content in full-spectrum CBD, meaning that it isn't legal in every single state.

Broad Spectrum CBD

CBD isolate is the perfect mixture of CBD isolate and full-spectrum, combining the amplified effects of the full-spectrum CBD, because it contains multiple cannabinoids, with the THC-free anti-psychoactive feelings from the isolated extract.



2) Make sure the CBD is extracted from a plant that is legal in your state.

Every year, the government comes out with an annual agriculture bill, spanning over many different topics and in 2018, the bill included a change in the legality of cannabis as a crop; the growing of cannabis as a cash crop was now legal in all fifty states and farmers were able to receive subsidies for it.


The cannabis plant has three different types, Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis— note how neither hemp nor marijuana is a specific type or strain of the cannabis plant, but rather a measure of THC content in the plant itself.


In terms of federal law and legality, herbal hemp plant itself contains less than .3% THC. This is far under the amount necessary to be able to feel any sort of a high or psychoactive reaction.


The herbal hemp plant is legal in all fifty states and is used for more than just smoking or medicine - It's used for things such as textiles, ropes, paper, building materials, etc. - On the other hand, the marijuana plant is used for psychoactive results and is not legal in all fifty states.


3) Find out the way you wish to take your CBD.

In terms of the intake of CBD, there are multiple ways to go about it, but it’s primarily up to personal preference and your own needs - so make sure to do the proper research needed to find the best option for you:

  • Tinctures are used with a dropper under your tongue.

  • Make sure to check the dosage because the milligram content of CBD varies drastically.

  • Capsules/pills offer a steady dosage without variation and allow for a more routine-based intake.

  • Topicals use special technology to be able to have the CBD go through the dermis layers and are usually used for joint pain and/or skin conditions.

There are other forms of intake, but these have been the most preferred methods of CBD oil intake from doctors and medical professionals.
